March 18, 2015This Caltrans project consisted of bridge deck repair at various locations along Route 5 in Shasta County, which include the removal of asphalt concrete surfacing, removal and replacement of unsound concrete, surface cleaning and preparation, hot mix asphalt placement, approach slabs using Rapid Set Concrete (RSC) and multilayer polymer overlay . The project also included joint seals, traffic control, and other related work on 10 different locations on Interstate 5 spanning 59 miles.
