Las Gallinas WWTP Wins AGC of California Constructor Award
Myers & Sons for “Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District – Secondary Treatment Plant Upgrade and Recycled Water Expansion”
The Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Secondary Treatment Plant Upgrade and Recycled Water Expansion project delivered needed upgrades and an expansion within an active plant that remained fully operational throughout construction.
Myers & Sons Construction coordinated an expansive scope of work, including site demolition and removal of existing equipment and infrastructure as well as construction of all site improvements. The team worked closely with plant operators to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the plant during construction and transition to new processes.
The project was delivered in three major phases, each of which had critical components and milestones. Myers and Sons partnered with the owner team and plant operators to understand the plant operations, existing infrastructure and new infrastructure to be installed and brought online and to adhere to the need to maintain plant operations at all times.
Through constant communication and a commitment to collaborating to ensure the work would not cause additional impacts to operations, the project team met all milestones along the way.
