With roots dating back to 1977, C.C. Myers started building bridges in Northern California and quickly expanded to Southern California and beyond. Building the company’s reputation on completing high stakes projects ahead of schedule. In 2010, Myers & Sons Construction began to focus on bridge and roadway restoration projects and later water and wastewater treatment plant construction. Today, Myers continues to focus on diversifying as a leader in heavy civil construction industry.

Founding of C.C. Myers, Inc.
1977
Clinton Charles Myers founds C.C. Myers, Inc. in Sacramento after a successful career as Northern California Manager at Polich-Benedict Construction Company, Inc.
Santa Monica Freeway Collapse
1994
C.C. Myers rebuilds the Santa Monica freeway in 66 days after the Northridge Earthquake, a full 74 days ahead of the project schedule, creating the reputation of delivering projects ahead of schedule.
Bay Bridge Bypass
2004
This $468 million project was the company’s first design build project and one of the first for Caltrans as well. It required using ABC bridge construction methods to slide out old sections of bridge and slide in new sections over two different holiday weekends.
Macarthur Maze Fire
2007
C.C. Myers rebuilt the Macarthur Maze I-580 East Connector after a tanker fire collapsed a section of the bridge in just 18 days, which was 27 days ahead of schedule.
Myers & Sons Construction is Born
2010
The second generation Myers family construction business starts in 2010 after C.C. Myers transitions to Myers & Sons Construction.
Treatment Plant Division
2012
Myers begins to diversify their business into water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
Fix 50
2014
Myers completes the reconstruction of HWY 50 through downtown Sacramento 33 days ahead of schedule and reducing impacts to drivers by 40%.
Ferguson Slide CMGC
2014
Myers secures our first CMGC contract to build a concrete rockshed through a slide. This was also Caltrans’ first CMGC project to each a GMP.
Alemany Bridge Deck Replacement
2020
During the early onset of COVID, the Myers team rebuilt two 756 foot long bridge decks on the 101 freeway in just 6 days. Cementing Myers legacy as a contractor who delivers the impossible.
Expanding and Growing
2023
Kurtis Frailey becomes the first non family owner in Myers. Today Clinton W. Myers and Kurtis led the company into the future without forgetting the storied past and Mr. Myers, who guided us all here.
