Myers and Sons Construction’s Founder, C.C. Myers, has designed and redesigned over forty projects in the state of California. Treatment Plants
Water infrastructure is a critical piece of our nation’s long term growth. As water quality and availability needs increase, the existing infrastructure for both Potable Water and Waste Water is aging and no longer meets the requirements established by Federal Standards. New technologies are constantly being developed to help existing agencies take advantage of the infrastructure already in place and depending on the size and age of treatment plants or pump stations. Myers & Sons has developed a team to take on the many needed facets required to fulfill the demanding requirements of future water quality. Myers and Sons recognizes this and is committed to meeting those needs across a wide range of projects, including treatment plants, lift and pump stations, hydro generation, channel widening and realignment, fish screens and ladders, UV systems, erosion and sediment control, storage tanks, reservoirs, and large intake structures.
Bridges and Structures
Myers and Sons Construction has the unique ability to construct various types of new bridges including cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete box girders; pre-cast, pre-tensioned concrete girders and slabs; and structural steel girders and trusses carrying vehicular, pedestrian, equestrian, and recreational traffic. In addition, Myers and Sons Construction constructs retaining walls, box culverts and other large concrete structures.

Road and Bridge Restoration
Road Restoration
Maintaining our roadways is critical to California’s long term economic growth. Roads wear down over time and repairs and maintenance are needed to sustain current capacities while minimizing the impact to travelers. At Myers and Sons Construction this rehab work falls into two distinct categories. The first is panel replacements using rapid strength concrete and the second is using pre-cast concrete panels. Both of these practices allows us to replace sections of existing concrete pavement at night and open the roads to traffic the next morning. Both of these methods ensure that California’s roads will continue to function at a high level.
Polyester Polymer Concrete Overlay
With over 200 bridges completed with Polyester Concrete throughout the United States, Myers and Sons Construction is the preeminent contractor when it comes to placing Polyester Polymer Concrete Overlay’s. Having bid and completed work from Alaska to New York, and on an international basis, Myers and Sons has the experience to meet the needs of any Polyester Concrete Specification and the essential timeframes of the Owner or General Contractor. The Polyester Concrete Material, supplied by Kwik Bond Polymers, is a long term way to enhance the life of the bridge deck for over 30 years without the need of rehabilitation or replacement. With a cure time of approximately 2 hours, Myers and Sons has the ability to allow traffic to return much sooner than most types of other overlays. Utilizing this state of the art material, Myers and Sons is confident it can deliver a one of a kind product on any bridge deck.
Other Bridge Deck Overlays
Myers and Sons specializes in several different types of overlays on bridge decks including Methacrylate Sealers, Multi-Layer Polymer, Multi-Layer Epoxy, and High Friction Surface Treatments. Each type of overlay has a unique way to protect the bridge deck and internal rebar from corrosion and other long term damage.
Bridge Retrofits
Myers and Sons does extensive work with bridge retrofit projects comprised of several different types of work in an effort to bring the bridge up to current seismic and safety standards. This work helps extend the lifespan of the structure and can include repairing and replacing joint seal assemblies, replacing or adding bearing pads, replacing restrainer cables, adding shear keys, expanding and reinforcing existing foundations, repairing and wrapping concrete columns in a steel or composite shell, and upgrading barrier rails.
