New Highway 99 bridge over Butte Creek opens

A new northbound Highway 99 bridge over Butte Creek opened today after a seven-month, $10 million construction project, Caltrans announced.The new two-lane bridge replaces a 60-year-old structure and ends a detour onto a temporary bridge. Over the next month, construction crews will be working to remove concrete barriers on the southbound bridge and return the southbound lanes to the original alignment.
